Wow. I am quite new to all this discussion of denominations, confessions, etc. etc. And as such, I'd only heard of the FV a few days ago, from my brother. That said, WTS/P has it sooo right! It is NOT good news that the FV is teaching. Plain and simple! I am soooo excited that the Lord has opened and kept my eyes open to these false doctrines! Before I read about the FV/NPP, I prayed and asked my heavenly Father to protect me from false teachings, to keep me from untrue things, then when I was only partially the way through reading the first document on the WTS website about FV/NPP, I saw it clearly and it just astounds me how year after year, century after century, people regurgitate the same old story, "I am partially to thank for my Salvation." What that comes down to is mans pride. It seems that it takes many decades sometimes for these men to show this but eventually they do, not all, but many, and that is that after many, many years in the ministry, they suddenly start to teach that THEY have something to ad to their Salvation. I think it is non-dealt with sin maybe, and their pent up guilt does not allow them to accept Jesus Christ as the ONLY merit for their eternal life, but that because of their non-dealt with sin issues, they MUST ad something to it in order to "feel" it. I dunno, just my opinion on that one :-) I just pray that the Lord never lets me fall to a false Gospel like so many apparently right on teachers eventually turn to. It is a scary thing to be turned over to false doctrine, but I see it allot and it is very saddening and makes me want to keep my focus on Him and His Word and not the ever changing opinions of man. Thank you Stefan for bringing the FV/NPP discussion onto here. You've allowed for me to identify a false doctrine before I face it out there somewhere.
